Chief Executive Officer
Greg is a co-founder, principal and serves as CEO, as well as a Wealth Manager and Sapient Investment Committee member.
Greg began his career as an investment professional in 1983. Prior to co-founding Sapient, Greg spent 27 years as a Sr. Vice President with a large national investment firm. While there, Greg was a co-founder and managing partner of the Erwin Martin Rexius Group, and a member of the Association of Professional Investment Consultants.
Greg graduated from the University of Oregon with Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Business Management. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Eugene Country Club, Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation, Oregon Track Club, TrackTown USA and The 15th Night, a local youth homelessness network. Greg served as Co-Chairman of the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Track and Field Trials. In 2009 Greg was recognized as the United Way Volunteer of the Year in Lane County, and received the University of Oregon Leo Harris Award for outstanding career achievement, community contributions and support of the University.
Greg and his wife Anne have two adult children, Alex and Elizabeth.
Alan Rexius, CIMA®, CIS
Alan is a co-founder, principal and serves as a Wealth Manager as well as a Sapient Investment Committee member.
Alan’s business career began at Rexius Inc., one of Lane County’s largest employers, where he spent 20 years as an owner and Senior Vice President. Prior to helping launch Sapient, Alan spent 18 years as an Adviser with a large national investment firm While there, Alan was a Sr. Vice President and co-founder of the Erwin Martin Rexius Group.
Alan’s family has deep roots in Eugene, Oregon, spanning five generations. He studied Business Management and Finance while attending the University of Oregon. Alan was awarded Beta Gamma Sigma membership for character and scholastic achievement from the University’s Business School. Post-college work includes designations of “Certified Investment Management Analyst” (CIMA®) through the Wharton School of Business and “Certified Investment Strategist” (CIS) through New York University’s Stern School of Business. Alan remains an active member in the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA).
Alan and his wife, Jenny, have four adult children, Saralyn, Laney, Solomon and Caleb. Alan’s family have been active volunteers and board members of many local non-profit organizations.
Dennis is a principal and serves as one of Sapient’s Wealth Managers and as a Sapient Investment Committee member.
Dennis began his career as an investment professional in 2000 with a large national investment firm where he achieved the role of First Vice President. He has maintained a particular focus on investment and wealth management.
After chasing the dream of playing professional baseball Dennis returned home to Eugene and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Oregon. Currently Dennis enjoys spending time coaching his daughters’ sports teams, playing golf and volunteering as a board member at Youth for Christ and the Relief Nursery in Eugene.
Dennis and his wife Chelsea have two daughters.
Wealth Manager Emeritus
King is a co-founder and serves as Strategist, Wealth Manager Emeritus and as the Sapient Investment Committee chair.
King started his career in the investment business in 1967 and thus brings nearly 50 years of experience to Sapient Private Wealth Management. King was a founding partner of the Erwin Martin Rexius Group. While serving as a Sr. Vice President with a large national investment firm, he was named a “top advisor” by Research Magazine, and won the RJ Shook’s Winners Circle Award in 2006. In 1998 King was named Golfweek Magazine’s “Father of the Year”. He currently serves on the board of Links Players International.
King received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oregon where he majored in Finance and Investments and was the recipient of the school’s Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award.
King and his wife Melinda, have two adult sons, Cameron and Casey. Cameron is the founder of Martin Capital Partners, also based in Eugene. Casey is the head golf coach at the University of Oregon after a noteworthy career in professional golf.
Tami serves as one of Sapient’s Wealth Managers and as a Sapient Planning Committee member.
Tami began her career in the financial services industry in 1986. Prior to joining Sapient, Tami spent 18 years with a large national investment firm. While there, she served in many roles through the years, ending as Second Vice President with the Erwin Martin Rexius Group.
Tami is an active member of Springfield Rotary and volunteers with various organizations including Food For Lane County, NW Boxer Rescue, Relay for Life, and the University of Oregon. She has been particularly focused on the creation of a non-profit organization called “Belly-Full” which focuses on feeding local hungry children. Tami enjoys outdoor activities including water sports, snow skiing, riding ATVs and attending University of Oregon football games.
Tami and her husband Chris have one adult daughter, Lindsay.
Ross Anderle, CFP®
Ross serves as one of Sapient’s Wealth Managers and as a Sapient Planning Committee member.
Ross began his career as an investment professional in 1995 with a large national investment firm where he remained as a Vice President until 2008 when he joined RBC Wealth Management as a First Vice-President. Ross joined Sapient in 2014. He has maintained a particular focus on financial planning and portfolio management and is an active member of the Eugene Estate Planning Council. In 2007 Ross earned the designation of Certified Financial Planner-CFP® to enhance his expertise in financial planning.
Ross graduated from Louisiana State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. He is currently on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Emerald Valley and previously served as Chairman of the Eugene Chamber of Commerce Future Citizen Committee. Currently Ross is active coaching local youth sports and enjoys being outdoors. His particular passions include spending time with his family, fishing, skiing and golf.
Ross and his wife Jennifer have two children, Hunter and Carson.
Sandi serves as one of Sapient’s Wealth Managers.
Sandi began her career as an investment professional in 2005 with a large national investment firm where she served as Group Administrator for the Erwin Martin Rexius Group. Prior to her career change she was a manager at State Farm Insurance Pacific Northwest Regional Office for 12 years.
Sandi graduated from Oregon State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double focus in Accounting and Finance. Sandi has been active in the community coaching youth basketball and volleyball and volunteering at neighborhood schools. Outside of the office, Sandi enjoys spending time with her young family, camping, attending sporting events, and cross-fit.
Sandi and her husband Shane have three children, Kiran, Kallin and Kelsen.
Michelle serves as Sapient’s Client Concierge.
Michelle is often the first point of contact for Sapient clients. Michelle’s industry knowledge, engaging personality and empathy for clients make her a natural to provide concierge service to Sapient clients. She also handles many client banking requests and on-line service.
Prior to joining Sapient, Michelle spent 15 years with a large national investment firm. Michelle volunteers as a second grade Sunday School teacher and enjoys volleyball, gardening, camping and riding ATVs.
Michelle and her husband Craig have two sons, Ashton and Cameron.
Client Relationship Manager
Dina serves as a Client Relationship Manager and Compliance Manager.
In Dina’s role as a Client Relationship Manager she works closely with advisors in all aspects of managing the client relationship. As Compliance Manager, Dina is responsible for developing and maintaining the policies and procedures to ensure Sapient is compliant with Securities and Exchange Commission regulations.
Dina began her career as an investment professional in 2000 at a large national investment firm working with the Erwin Martin Rexius Group. Prior to her career change, she served as a law firm administrator and paralegal. Dina received a Bachelor of Science in General Science from the University of Oregon. When she is not in the office, Dina enjoys camping, mountain biking and yoga.
Dina and her husband Michael have twin sons, Spencer and Tyler.
Casia Chappell, CFP®, CPWA®
Client Relationship Manager
Casia serves as a Client Relationship Manager and as a Sapient Planning Committee member.
Casia works closely with Sapient Wealth Managers to provide clients a highly personalized level of service. Casia worked in the wine industry before starting her career in financial services in 2010. She graduated from the University of Puget Sound with Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Relations and French Literature. In 2014 she earned the Certified Financial Planner-CFP® designation and in 2016 earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor-CPWA® designation to better serve clients in their financial planning.
In her free time Casia enjoys skiing, fishing, traveling, running, and spending time with her family, friends, and two large dogs.
Client Relationship Manager
Nicolle serves as a Client Relationship Manager and as a Sapient Planning Committee member.
Nicolle works closely with Sapient Wealth Managers to provide exceptional client service focused keenly on improving the quality of our client’s financial lives. Prior to joining Sapient, Nicolle spent over a decade in financial services, predominantly at Montgomery Securities. Nicolle also spent several years producing print commercials, and in various roles in the fashion industry. Her career has taken her from San Francisco to New York City to Los Angeles, and back to her hometown of Eugene. Nicolle earned Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Oregon in Business Marketing and Business Management, and a Masters degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.
In her free time Nicolle enjoys yoga, Pilates, biking, travel and spending time with family and friends.
Nicolle has a daughter, Petra.
Client Relationship Manager
Alicia serves as a Client Relationship Manager.
Alicia works closely with Sapient Wealth Managers to provide exceptional client-focused service and professionalism. Alicia started her career in 2005 in the tech industry in corporate and operations finance. More recently, she worked in commercial lending for an independent community bank. She graduated from Portland State University with Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and earned an MBA from Willamette University.
In her spare time, Alicia serves on committees dedicated to helping young professionals in the Eugene-Springfield area develop leadership skills and opportunities. She currently serves on the Board for Junior Achievement as she has a passion for fostering work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills among the community’s youth. She also enjoys running, reading and spending time with friends, family and her dog Barner.
John serves as the firm’s Research Analyst and as a Sapient Investment Committee member.
In his role as Research Analyst John coordinates all the firm’s research efforts. John’s extensive experience in product and capital markets research offers significant value to Sapient clients.
Prior to joining Sapient, John spent 15 years at a large national investment firm working with the Erwin Martin Rexius Group. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon in Finance and Business Management.
In his free time John enjoys golf, snow skiing and spending time with friends and family.
Chief Operating Officer
Jonathan serves as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer.
Jonathan is responsible for directing and managing business activities of Sapient including day-to-day operations, human resources and technology.
Jonathan began his career in financial services at Bank of America as a personal and small business banker. Prior to joining Sapient, he served at SOL REPUBLIC, where he helped build and refine processes across the organization. Jonathan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Corban University and earned an MBA from the University of Oregon. Jonathan enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, skiing, and biking.
Jonathan and his wife Hannah have three children, Nina, Lucie, and Camden.
